Goldstone Espresso is our flagship blend, served everyday in our cafés across Brighton and featuring the producers we have the closest and longest relationships with.
This latest edition features two washed coffees from Central America and a natural process from Ethiopia.
From western Guatemala is one of our all time favourite coffees, Santa Ana La Huerta, owned by Rony Asensio in the high Sierra de la Minas. We have been buying from Rony for four years now and his coffee gets better every single year as he never stops working to improve his farming and processing techniques. Rony invested heavily in a covered dryer two years ago and it has made his coffee go from strength to strength.
From Mexico another coffee we have been buying for many years, Finca Muxbal in Chiapas. Jorge Gallardo separates the coffees from the highest sector of the farm, the San Enrique lot, specifically for this blend and this year has also started to dry some of that coffee on raised beds rather than patios to try and improve the quality longevity further.
Finally, we have a natural process coffee from Fero Farmers Union, a co-operative in Sidamo, Ethiopia. We have been working hard for the past three years to find a co-op we can work with year on year in Ethiopia and we are really happy to have achieved this with Fero and this beautiful natural lot.
